The Director General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh, will close the registration for UP NEET PG counselling 2024 round 3 today. Eligible candidates who meet the revised cut-off criteria can submit their applications on the official portal, upneet.gov.in, to secure admissions for MD, MS, PG Diploma, and DNB courses.
The registration window was reopened following the Medical Counselling Committee's (MCC) reduction of the NEET PG cut-off percentile. As per the updated criteria, general category candidates with 15 percentile or above and SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates with 10 percentile or above are eligible for counselling.
Candidates who have registered for round 3 are not required to re-register or pay the application fee again. However, all aspirants participating in the stray vacancy round must submit the requisite fee.
The counselling committee has emphasized that the revised state merit list for NEET PG will be prepared by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) based on registered candidates. The revised list may update the state ranks of previously registered candidates.
The decision to lower the cut-off has broadened the eligibility pool, enabling more aspirants to compete for state quota seats. Over 8,059 candidates had been allocated state ranks earlier, and the updated merit list will soon be available.
Candidates are advised to complete their registration and payment before the deadline and stay updated with PlanEdu
