The threatening email, sent from the address childrenofallah@outlook.com and signed by Barry Allah, contained alarming warnings: "Allah sees your efforts to resist his punishment. But they are futile. For no mortal being can escape the judgment of Allah." The email also mentioned that buildings would be targeted when students weren’t present.

Bomb threat investigation updates

This email marks the second wave of bomb threats within 48 hours. On Friday, about 30 schools in Delhi received similar threats via email, sparking panic among parents who rushed to pick up their children. Extensive searches by police and fire officials were conducted, but no actual threats were found.

Earlier in the week, over 44 schools were targeted with similar emails, and Friday’s threats involved 22 schools that had already been contacted before. Unlike previous emails, which demanded a $30,000 ransom, the latest threats didn’t include any demands.

Emergency protocols in schools

In light of the growing number of threats, the Delhi High Court instructed the city’s government and police to create a detailed plan to handle such incidents. This includes drafting a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to clearly define the roles of school staff along with local authorities and law enforcement. The court has given eight-week time to implement these measures.

Delhi student safety measures

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed concern about the psychological toll these threats are taking on students and the disruption to their studies. He called for urgent measures to ensure schools are safe and such threats are dealt with effectively.
