Normalization Process
The normalization process for the exam involves the following steps:
Calculation of Raw Scores:
Each candidate's raw score is determined on the basis of the number of correct and incorrect responses by following the marking scheme:
- +3 for each correct answer and
- -1 for each incorrect answer.
Scaling of Scores:
The raw scores will be adjusted by a statistical process that accounts for variations in difficulty levels across different test slots. This scaling ensures that scores are comparable regardless of the session in which the exam was taken.
Computation of Percentiles
After scaling, candidates are ranked, and percentiles are calculated to indicate the relative performance of each candidate within the entire pool of test-takers.

- Enter your CAT User ID and password to access your account.
- Click on the 'Scorecard' tab to view and download your CAT 2024 result.
