Under ONOS, all participating institutions will have access to a wide range of 13,400 journals.

ONOS initiative

The ONOS program officially begins on January 1 and will provide journal access for three years. In its second phase, the initiative aims to include private academic institutions through public-private partnerships. The third phase will offer access to international journals at public libraries across the country.

The initiative will be run by the Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET). It is an independent UGC center. This initiative's primary goal is to provide academic resources to faculty, researchers, and students across the country, including those who live in smaller cities and villages. It is expected that this connectivity will promote broad research and creativity. The budget for this initiative is set  ?6,000 crores for three years
