IIM Mumbai MBA Admission Criteria 2025; Check CAT 2024 Score Weightage

Introduction

The IIM Mumbai MBA selection criteria 2025 have been officially announced online, according to which, candidates will secure their admissions based on CAT 2024 exam only. The admission criteria for the MBA program at IIM Mumbai for the 2025-27 batch are as follows:

Eligibility:

A bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks and 45% is for SC/ST/PwD from a recognized institution.
It is important to have a valid score in the CAT 2024 exam.
Candidates who are in their final year of graduation can also apply, Selection

Process of Admission:

Stage 1

Candidates are shortlisted based on CAT 2024 scores and sectional cutoffs:

General: Overall 85 percentile, with sectional cutoffs of 80 in VARC, 80 in LRDI, and 75 in QA.
Relaxation is applied for reserved categories.
Additional weightage is also provided for gender diversity.

Stage 2 as Personal Interview:

Shortlisted candidates are invited for a Personal Interview.
During this stage, no explicit weightage is provided for academic performance and work experience.

Stage 3 - Final Admission:

A composite score is calculated:

CAT 2024 Score is of 55% weightage
Personal Interview is for 20%
Other factors include gender diversity with 25% weightage.

Application Deadline:

Applications for admission are going to close on January 31, 2025, and the cutoff will be declared on February 14, 2025. For more details, candidates are advised to visit the official website.
