JoSAA 2025 Reconstituted: NIT Rourkela to Coordinate BTech Counselling for IITs, NITs, IIITs via JEE
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is now reconstituted for the year 2025, with NIT Rourkela appointed as the coordinating institute for counseling admissions into IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other GFTIs. This centralized counseling process will manage seat allocation based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced ranks.
JoSAA 2025 is going to streamline the admission process by ensuring transparency and efficiency. It will involve several steps like starting with registration, choice filling, and the locking process of preferred courses and institutes. Seat allocation will occur in multiple rounds by taking into account the candidates' preferences, meri,t, and category.
The education ministry said while listing down the members,”.After getting the approval of the competent authority, it has been decided to re-constitute Joint Seat Allocation Authority 2025, with the following to conduct joint counseling for the academic year 2025-2026,”
Every year, JoSAA conducts a session of joint counseling for the allocation of seats to undergraduate programs at Centrally Funded Technical Institutions like IITs, NITs, IIITs, SPAs, and other GFTIs, with admissions based on the Joint Entrance Examination. To facilitate this counseling program, the CSAB for NITs and JAB for IITs will be agreeing.
Candidates are required to complete the online registration and document verification process through designated reporting centers. Special provisions are being made in place for PwD by providing extended timelines and personalized reporting options. For a successful process, students are supposed to meet eligibility criteria which covers cutoff marks and document submission.
