IIT Delhi Placement 2024-2025: Only 5% Students Exploring Career Options Amid Season Kick-Off

The placement season for IITs in 2024 will begin in early December. Ahead of this, IIT Delhi shared its excitement and expressed optimism about welcoming many recruiters this year, especially after a slow start during phase 1 of placements.

As per IIT Delhi’s placement cell the report prepared is:

Many students participated in 2023–24 placements which became the main reason as some student couldn’t get their dream placement. In comparison to the previous year, IIT Delhi reported a 25% increase in students utilizing the on-campus placement procedure, with a six-fold increase in the number of PhD graduates.

The institution noted that there were almost 10% more graduates overall in 2023–2024 than the year before, with a 30% increase in PhD grads. 

In June 2024, IIT Delhi held a specific placement campaign for PhD candidates for the first time. As a result of this endeavor, PhD students received seven times as many placement offers as they did the year before. Despite this achievement, the majority of PhD graduates find employment off-campus because they are usually hired
