NEET UG 2024 Update: MCC Withdraws Seats in Special Stray Vacancy Round

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS received a court order on November 23 to remove two seats from the stray vacancy round of the NEET-UG 2024 counselling.

According to the official notification, one MBBS seat each from the open category has been taken out from Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences (SLIMS) in Puducherry and Mahatma Gandhi Medical College (MGMCRI) in Pondicherry. These seats were excluded during the special stray vacancy round of NEET UG 2024 counselling.

It is mentioned in the notice that the seats have been officially withdrawn from the seat matrix for this round of counselling. Candidates who have already received seats in this special stray vacancy round cannot take part in the state counselling.

The MCC's official said, “The above-mentioned seats have been removed from the Seat Matrix during the Special Stray Vacancy Round of UG Counselling 2024. Additionally, candidates who secured seats in the MCC's Special Stray Vacancy Round cannot join the State UG Counselling's Special Stray Vacancy Round for 2024.”

NEET UG 2024 Special Stray Vacancy Results

The results for the special stray vacancy round of NEET UG 2024 were released on November 24. Candidates must report to their allotted institute between November 25 and 30 to finalize their admission. The MCC had already published a provisional result for the special stray vacancy seat allotment on November 22. Candidates who filled their college preferences and submitted their choices can check their results official website and if they find any discrepancy they can report immediately to the officials by November 23.
