CAT 2024 Slot Timings & Admit Card Link: Exam Day Instructions
The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 will be conducted tomorrow, i.e., 24 November 2024. The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta will conduct the CAT 2024 Exam. Candidates must carry the CAT 2024 Admit Card. To download the CAT 2024 Admit Card, visit the official website– iimcat.ac.in. Candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam without the CAT 2024 Admit Card. The exam date is 24 November 2024, and it will be an online exam. It will be conducted in exam centres in 170 cities in the country.
CAT 2024 Exam Pattern
The CAT 2024 will be divided into a total of three sections-
- Verbal Ability and Reading
- Comprehension (VARC)
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
- Quantitative Aptitude (QA)
A total of 66 questions will be asked in the CAT 2024 Exam. The exam carries a total of 198 marks, each question carries 3 marks. 3 marks will be given for each correct answer. 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The CAT 2024 will be 120 minutes long. 40 minutes for each section will be given.
CAT 2024 Exam Timings and Reporting Time
Candidates are expected to reach the examination centre at least one hour before the gate closes.
There will be three shifts:
- 8:30 am to 10:30 am
- 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm
- 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
What to Carry on CAT 2024 Exam Day?
Candidates must carry the following items for the CAT 2024–
Entry to the examination hall is strictly prohibited without the admit card.
A valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card, Driving License, passport, voter ID) is important
- Scribe Affidavit and Medical Certificate (if applicable)
Candidates who require assistance in writing the exam must carry a supporting affidavit or medical certificate
How to Download CAT 2024 Admit Card?

- Candidates will have to visit the official website– iimcat.ac.in.
- Click on the ‘CAT 2024 Admit Card’ link on the homepage.
- Login using your credentials and submit.
- Your CAT Admit Card will appear on the screen. You can download and print it.
CAT 2024 Additional Guidelines
Candidates must follow the guidelines given below–
- Calculators, wristwatches, and electronic gadgets like mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, etc, are strictly barred.
- Do not carry bags, shoes, or caps to the examination centre.
- Come in a simple attire. Avoid wearing any accessories.
- Keep all documents ready to avoid any delay in document verification.
