IIT Kharagpur Launches Start-Up Accelerator with Z21 Ventures
The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) collaborated with z21 Ventures. It is a venture capital firm led by IIT Kharagpur alumni. They are launching a startup accelerator program aimed at final-year students together, whose main focus is to encourage entrepreneurship.

This accelerator programme is designed to search for new talent at IIT Kharagpur, who can turn innovative ideas into market-ready businesses. Students will get guidance, funding, and resources. The focus is on creating scalable and technical solutions to address global problems by combining IIT Kharagpur's research strengths with z21 Ventures' investment skills. The program is intended to support students in making a significant impact through their entrepreneurial efforts.
IIT Kharagpur Startup
The first group includes up to 10 teams, who will receive continued mentoring, strategic advice, and initial funding to develop their ideas. Participants will also gain access to z21 Ventures' network of experienced industry professionals, successful entrepreneurs, and advisors committed to helping them succeed. After graduation, IIT Kharagpur will continue to support the teams with essential infrastructure, ensuring a smooth transition from concept to execution.
IIT Kharagpur Final-Year Students
The program is also open to alumni if they team up with current IIT Kharagpur students. It is available to final-year students from BTech, MTech, and PhD programs, highlighting a focus on inclusivity and collaboration across different fields.
