NEET PG 2024 Supreme Court Hearing Postponed Again to November 26

The Supreme Court of India has postponed the NEET PG 2024 hearing to November 26 and delayed the resolution of several critical issues which are raised by aspirants. The petitioners have challenged the transparency of the examination process on issues like discrepancies in the results and lack of access to official answer keys, question papers, and a grievance mechanism. In addition to this, the absence of a standard operating procedure and immediate changes in examination protocols have further complicated the matters.

The bench was led by Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra who acknowledged the complexity of the case. The petitioners argued with the authorities that these irregularities which are combined with conflicting state counseling schedules have left candidates in complex situations. In the meantime, the National Board of Examinations also defended its practices which emphasized that the evaluation process is automated and adheres according to its guidelines

This delay has further added to the growing frustration among medical students because they are waiting for clarity on the fairness and accuracy of the examination process. The next hearing is going to provide more definitive solutions hopefully.
