JEE Main 2025: FAQs on Exam Pattern, Eligibility, Fee, and Admit Card Answered by NTA

The National Testing Agency has answered all the Frequently-Asked Questions on the topic of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025. Students are advised to check the answers on the engineering entrance exam on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The deadline to apply for JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam is November 22, 2024.

The testing agency has also announced the correction dates for the application so that candidates can edit their details in the JEE Main 2025 application from November 26 to 27. The first session of the exam will be scheduled from January 22, 2025, to 31, 2025 for admission to engineering and architecture programmes at the National Institutes of Technology, IIITs, and other participating institutes.

1. What will be the medium of JEE Main 2025 exam?

The exam will be conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

2. Is a category certificate required during registration?

No, only the category certificate number, date of issue, and issuing authority need to be filled in the application form.

3. Are documents required to be sent to NTA by post, fax, or hand?

No

4. Can NTA manually allot a JEE Main 2025 centre?

No

5. What if JEE Main 2025 clashes with other exams?

NTA will not change the allotted exam date in case of a clash with other national or state-level exams.

6. Can the JEE Main 2025 application be cancelled?

No, once submitted, applications cannot be cancelled or withdrawn.

7. Can the exam centre be changed after the roll number is allotted?

No, the exam city cannot be changed under any circumstances.

8. Choice of exam cities?

The choice of exam cities will be displayed based on the permanent and present addresses filled during registration. Candidates abroad can choose cities in nearby countries or any city in India.

9. What is the use of a scribe?

Candidates must fill out details in the certificate of undertaking (Appendix IV and VI). Roll number, centre name, district, and state should be left blank for filling at the exam centre.
