CAT 2024 Last 10 Days Preparation Strategy
Introduction
The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 exam will be conducted on 24 November 2024. The exam is an online exam.
The CAT 2024 will be conducted in exam centres in 170 cities in the country.
There will be three shifts:
?8:30 am to 10:30 am
?12:30 pm to 2:30 pm
?4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
The CAT 2024 will be divided into a total of three sections-
?Verbal Ability and Reading
Comprehension (VARC)
?Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
?Quantitative Aptitude (QA)
A total of 66 questions will be asked in the CAT 2024 Exam. The exam carries a total of 198 marks, each question carries 3 marks. 3 marks will be given for each correct answer. 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Take Mock Tests and Solve the Previous Year's Question Papers
It is very important to take as many mock tests as you can. Solving previous year's question papers and sample papers helps you understand the type of question and exam pattern. Analyse previous Mock Tests for clarity about the type of questions and understanding of your preparation level. Set a timer before you start solving a question paper.
Revise Basics
Revise basic number conversions and quick calculation shortcuts, formulas, etc. You may likely get confused with these basic calculations and formulas under exam pressure. It is important to have a strong base of the fundamentals of mathematical concepts. A strong understanding of concepts like percentages, ratios & proportions, and averages, frequently used in DI problems for comparisons, data analysis, and summarisation is necessary. Make sure to revise these thoroughly.
Read Comprehension Passages
Reading comprehension passages can help improve your verbal, critical thinking and analytical skills. It is advised to read the questions first and then read the passage. This will make it easier to find the answers to the questions while reading.
We recommend covering the high-weightage topics first. While you prepare for the CAT 2024, also focus on time management as it will help you complete the paper on time.
