Good news for all technical students as IIT Madras will now offer students a chance to study how to manage heat in spacecraft and launch vehicles, thanks to a partnership with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). ISRO has given IIT-Madras funding of ?1.84 crore to set up a special center focused on fluid and thermal sciences.

On Monday, Manu Santhanam, Dean of Industrial Consultancy and Sponsored Research at IIT-M, and Victor Joseph T., Director of the Directorate of Technology Development and Innovation at ISRO, signed an agreement (MoU) to establish this center.
Professor Arvind Parramatta from IIT-M’s mechanical engineering department explained that the new center is going for both ISRO scientists and IIT-M researchers to make important contributions to India’s space program, enhancing the country’s self-reliance in space technology.
