Eligibility & Admissions at VIT Business School

Eligibility Criteria:

BBA:

  • A pass in the Pre-University/ Higher Secondary/ 10+2 examination or equivalent from a recognized Central or State board with at least 60% aggregate marks in 12th grade in any stream.
  • Students who have appeared for their Class 12 finals and awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of a passing certificate by the notified date.

MBA:

  • A minimum of 60% mark or First class is required in any undergraduate or Integrated degree from a recognized University or Institution.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree should be of a minimum of three years duration after completion of higher secondary education (10+2, +3, +4or +5) or equivalent.
  • The candidates appearing for the final year examination in 2025, whose results will be published on or before 14th, August 2025 are also eligible to apply.
  • Selection based on best score in CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ NMAT/ GMAT/ CMAT/ ATMA.
  • The eligibility criteria are relaxed by 10% in UG Degree for applicants belonging to SC/ST and applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Kadakh, and the North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

Accepted Entrance Exam:

The scores of CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ NMAT/ GMAT/ CMAT/ ATMA are accepted.

Admission and Selection Process

The Selection Process for the BBA Aspirants are as follows:

  • The candidates must fill out the application form available on the official website.
  • All the necessary details are supposed to be entered such as name, date of birth, mail ID, contact number, etc. in the application form.
  • Verify the OTP sent to the mobile number and check for the password in the registered mail ID.
  • Login using the registered mail ID and password.
  • Fill in the details in the application form and also upload a scanned photograph and signature.
  • Complete the application process by paying an application fee.
  • Selection is based on the VITBEE application form.
  • The selected candidates need to pay INR 50,000 tuition fees in advance and take the provisional admission letter.

The selection of the candidates for MBA admission to VIT Business School is based on the:

  • Academic performance in UG
  • Best score of CAT / XAT / MAT / NMAT / GMAT / CMAT / ATMA.
  • Personal Interview conducted by VIT Business School.
  • Work experience will be an added advantage.

Scholarships

The students who possess valid aptitude scores or Percentile are eligible to get the fee waiver mentioned below:

  • CAT/XAT/GMAT Score of 95 Percentile and above are eligible for a 50% tuition fee waiver.
  • CAT/ XAT/ GMAT scores of 90 percentiles and above are eligible for a 50% tuition fee waiver.
  • MAT scores of 791 to 800 are eligible for a full tuition fee waiver.
  • MAT Scores of 760 to 790 are eligible for a 50% tuition fee waiver.
  • NMAT Scores of 346 to 360 are eligible for a full tuition fee waiver.
  • NMAT Scores of 325 to 345 are eligible for a 50% tuition fee waiver.

Campus Life at VIT Business School

The campus life of the VITBS is very lively and interactive as the students perform various activities on the campus which makes the campus busy and faculties on the clock. The basic infrastructure details of the institute are given below:

Campus Infrastructure

The Campus of VIT has well-planned smart classrooms, auditoriums, and conference halls which can hold a vast population and Computer laboratories with Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the campus. The campus has a canteen facility which caters to a wide array of cuisines and dishes. The campus follows rainwater harvesting and has solar panels to utilize solar energy.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels at VIT have more than four walls and a roof, and facilities such as air-conditioned rooms, dining rooms, a First aid center, and 24-hour water and electricity supply are provided. They have been designed to provide a comfortable, safe, inclusive, and secure living even as they provide opportunities to form lasting friendships and ease the transition from home to college. Residential staff is always available to support the students from different backgrounds to promote community. Healthy food facilities are provided for the students in the hostels.

Library

The Central library is spread over an area of, 7770 sq m with six floors (Excluding the ground floor). It has specialized collections of books, journals & other resources in mathematics and sciences, engineering and technology, biotechnology, humanities, social sciences, and management ranging from printed books, e-books, and back volumes. The library subscribes to national and international journals in electronic version and print. The library has a video conferencing facility and other E-Learning resources initiated by the Government of India. The library is fully automated with the web-centric integrated library management system (KOHA 19.05) with Biometric and RFID technology with a self-issue and return kiosk, WEB-OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog), and online renewal facility.

Sports and Fitness

The Department of Physical Education is located in the VIT Shopping Complex. This complex has a magnificent air-conditioned gymnasium and Snooker Hall. A separate fitness center for men and women has also been established in the respective Hostels. A swimming pool of international dimensions is also available on the campus. The Institute also conducts Yoga Sessions on the campus.

Safety and Security

The campus is well-secured with an efficient security team and 24-hour surveillance. The security team works hard to make sure there is no trespassing on the campus. The safety of the students and staff of the institute is the primary priority of the institute.

Transportation facility

VIT ensures the commuting of students, both inside and outside, as comfortable and accessible as possible. The University buses transport students across all locations in and around Vellore. This helps day scholars to reach college on time with comfort. Shuttle Cabs run all around the college during the active hours of the day.

Health Care Facilities: The healthcare facility is available round the clock at the VIT Health Centre. The health care center has, 6453 sq. ft of space on the first floor and 1511 sq. ft on the ground floor in the AL Mudaliar Block.
