Admission and Selection Process at T. A. Pai Management Institute :

  •  Each MBA Program may have additional components for selection based on its specific requirements. 
  •  Shortlist and Merit list for each Program is separate and independent of each other. Shortlist/Selection in one Program does not guarantee shortlist/selection for the other Program (for candidates who apply to more than one program)

Eligibility

Minimum Eligibility A Graduate Degree from a recognized University with not less than 50% marks (Final year students may also apply. However, the admission shall be cancelled if they obtain less than 50% in their graduation). 

Stage I: 

 Shortlisting Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of valid CAT (Common Admission Test) 2023/XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) 2024/GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test)

Apart from high test scores, TAPMI considers the overall profile of candidates. For example, academic profile (10th, 12th, Graduation marks), work experience, extra- curricular achievements, achievements in sports, contribution to social activities, entrepreneurial spirit, diversity, leadership potential, integrity and values

Stage II: 

Admission Process (GD-PI) The stage II of TAPMI admission process consists of Group Discussion (GD), Extempore and Personal Interview (PI). 1. Group Discussion (GD): Group Discussion tests the ability of the applicant to interact within a group and enrich the discussion. GD also evaluates applicant's skills in Problem Solving, Confidence, Assertiveness, Persuasion, Collaboration and Communication. 2. Extempore: Candidates will be given a topic on the spot and speaking time 2-3 minutes. The skills tested are – articulation, coherence, presence of mind etc. 3. Personal Interview (PI): Through the personal interview TAPMI evaluates the applicant's overall attitude and suitability towards management

5. TAPMI uses CAT/XAT/GMAT/NMAT by GMAC™ scores for shortlisting the candidates. IIMs, XLRI and GMAC have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme. 

6. There is no “Management Quota” at TAPMI. Ragging is completely banned. Anyone found guilty of ragging and /or abetting ragging is liable to be punished.

Placement at T. A. Pai Management Institute :

Once again TAPMI proved itself to be one of the country's top business schools as it concluded its Final Placements for the Class of 2016 -2018. Here, 93% conversions were in Pre-Placement offers either from their summer internship organisations or through various B-school competitions, thus proving their mettle through high quality work. The regular recruiters at TAPMI once again expressed confidence in the quality of talent by hiring in big numbers.

 The current year has also seen a great 40% new companies confirm their participation for the final placement process. The average CTC across the three courses is INR 10.6 lakh per year with the highest CTC on offer being INR 23.8 lakh per year. The placement season saw an overwhelming response from companies across the landscape of various functions such as BFSI, Consulting, General Management, IT/ITES, Strategy, Sales and Marketing, and Operations. Hostel

TAPMI’s 5 hostel blocks have been designed keeping in mind the students’ requirements of rigorous study and relaxation. Each room has an attached bathroom and a 24-hour hot water facility supported by solar heating. All the hostels have lifts, back-up power, and Wi-Fi Internet connectivity.

There are separate hostels for men and women, each with air-conditioned double and single rooms. A few guest rooms are also available in the hostel. TAPMI has constructed 6 recreation rooms with games like carrom  and chess boards, for recreation of students.
