Eligibility Criteria for Symbiosis Institute of International Business

Eligibility

• Candidates should have completed their undergraduate degree from a recognized university or institution with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
• For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), a minimum of 45% aggregate marks is required.

Foreign/NRI Candidates:

Candidates who have completed their degree from a foreign university must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Entrance Exam:

Admission is based on the performance in the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), followed by a selection process that includes a Group Exercise, Personal Interview, and Written Ability Test (GE-PIWAT).

 Important date :- 

  The application deadline for the Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB), Pune, for the MBA programs is December 30, 2023. This date marks the last day for candidates to submit their applications for the MBA programs for the academic year 2024-2025.

Candidates must also register for the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), which is a prerequisite for admission, with SNAP registrations open until November 22, 2024

Admission and Selection Process:

Register for SNAP Exam:

• Visit the official SNAP Test website (snaptest.org).
• Complete the registration by providing personal details.
• Pay the SNAP registration fee (approximately INR 2250 per test attempt).

Register for SIIB:

• After SNAP registration, select SIIB as your preferred institute during the application process.
• Pay the SIIB application fee (approximately INR 1000).

Appear for SNAP Exam:

• Take the SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test), which is usually conducted in December.
• The test consists of Quantitative, Verbal, Reasoning, and General Awareness sections.

Shortlisting for GE-PI-WAT:

• Based on your SNAP score, SIIB will shortlist candidates for the next round.
• If shortlisted, you will be invited for the Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interview (PI), and Written Ability Test (WAT).

Attend GE-PI-WAT:

• Participate in the GE-PI-WAT process conducted by SIIB.
• It involves group discussions, personal interviews, and a written test to assess your skills and suitability for the program.

Final Selection:

• SIIB evaluates your performance in SNAP, GE-PI-WAT, academic background, and work experience (if applicable).
• The final merit list is published, and selected candidates receive admission offers.

Payment of Fees:

• Once selected, complete the admission process by paying the first instalment of fees.

MBA in International Business:

• Total Fees: Approximately INR 22.8 Lakhs for the entire program.
• Academic Fees:
  • First Instalment: INR 4,45,000
  • Second Instalment: INR 4,45,000

Scholarship

PG Merit Scholarship:

• The scholarship shall be awarded to any student who is studying under any specialisation of the MBA course.
• He/she should have obtained a minimum GPA score of 7.50
• The best candidate of that respective specialisation would be awarded along with having the program completed with good time management.
• The recipients are also eligible for a 50% waiver on the fee for studies.
• Scholarships Based on Specialisations:
• For MBA in International Business, Agri-Business, and Energy & Environment, there is a 50% waiver of tuition fee for the semester topper with the CGPA of 7.5 and above .
• General Eligibility:
• The students should not carry any backlog in their academic career for them to be eligible for these merit-based scholarships.
• Merit-based scholarships are provided irrespective of caste or financial background.
