Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute of Technology, known as Srinivas Institute of Technology, is an engineering institution based in Karnataka, India. Eligibility Criteria

B.E.

  • Candidate Must pass 10+2 or equivalent examination with an aggregate percentage of at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST, Category 1, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B) with subjects Physics, Mathematics, and any one of the following subjects Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Electronics from a recognized board.
  • Candidates from Karnataka get admission through Karnataka Common Entrance Test (K-CET) or Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK UGET) quota. Selection is purely based on the ranking obtained in the respective entrance test.
  • All other candidates from outside Karnataka would be required to obtain a COMEDK score and then apply for admission through the COMEDK counseling process.
  • Diploma holders are eligible for lateral entry into the second year of B.E. programs if they attain an aggregate of 45% in their diploma work.

  • Admission is primarily based on scores from K-CET, COMEDK UGET, DCET

Hostel & Accommodation

SDMIT accommodates well-furnished hostels for boys as well as girls, on par with the modern facilities extended to the students. Hostels for boys host above 1,000 students in different arrangements. Correspondingly, the girls' hostel can host about 1,045 students with the same facility. Amenities inside hostels are a strictly vegetarian mess, Wi-Fi access, round-the-clock medical care, and recreational areas with a setting assuring comfort that promotes an environment conducive to learning and personal growth. Rules were very strict and ensured safe discipline inside the hostels.

 

Library

The SDMIT library is well-equipped and supports the students and faculty through a rich collection of books, journals, digital resources, spacious reading areas, computer facilities, and study rooms which create a setting more conducive to conducting research and learning. It also covers access to online academic databases.

 

Sports & Gym

In addition to indoor games like chess and table tennis, SDMI has well-maintained grounds for cricket, volleyball, football, and more. Even a modern multi-gym with treadmills and cycles is placed there to update the fitness standards of the student body. An international standard 50x25m swimming pool with 10 lanes is also there on the campus.

 

Auditorium & Seminar Halls

SDMIT has a large auditorium with 3,000 students capacity for holding various cultural and academic events. Seminar halls are also well-furnished to facilitate interactive learning and presentations.
