The Kalpataru Institute of Technology was instituted in the year 1986 and, since then, has emerged as one of the major private engineering colleges in Tiptur, Karnataka. Eligibility Criteria

B.E. / B.Tech

  • The eligibility criteria for the candidates are they must have a 10+2 degree from a recognized board with aggregate results of 45% in the subjects physics, chemistry, and mathematics. For participants belonging to a reserved category, like SC/ST/OBC, they have to fulfill certain criteria set by the university/institution.
  • Admission: Admission will be strictly based on the merit of the score obtained in COMEDK UGET or KCET.
     

MBA

  • Eligibility: A bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate marks is required.
  • Entrance Exam: Admissions are conducted based on the KMAT exam.

 

Doctoral Program

  • A Master's degree in any relevant field with a minimum aggregate mark usually around 55% or equivalent.
  • Some courses may mandatorily make the students qualify for an entrance test or interview managed by the institute itself.
  • Good knowledge of English is a requirement for international candidates. However, this can be demonstrated through standardized tests such as IELTS and TOEFL if applicable.
     

Admission Process

  • Admission is usually based on the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) or COMEDK UGET scores.

Each hostel can accommodate around 250 students, offering spacious and modern rooms shared by three students. Library

The Kalpataru Institute of Technology library is a life resource. In terms of size, it occupies a total of about 1,500 square meters in the administrative block. Four sections were accommodated- the issue section and reference section, and digital library, reading hall, which can accommodate about 250 students at a time.
 

The library has more than 68,000 books with subscriptions to 57 technical journals, providing students with the academic and research information they so desperately need. It also kept back volumes of over 2,330 projects since its inception in 1986. IEEE and Springer are some of the online portals that the digital library avails to students to engage their academic supports.
 

Sports & Gym

Kalpataru Institute of Technology (KIT) possesses excellent sporting facilities - large cricket, football, and volleyball fields - and indoor sports like table tennis and badminton.
