  • The residential portion of the infrastructure consists of two well-equipped guest houses, roomy professor and staff quarters, married students' flat-lets, eleven men's and two women's hostels with single occupancy rooms.
  • The Institute also features three community halls, numerous cafeterias, a 30-bed hospital, a commercial complex with a restaurant and several shops, and a food court with a variety of food booths and multi-cuisines. Students at IIT Guwahati have access to a wide range of vibrant opportunities on campus. The campus community is highly receptive to exchanging ideas and engaging in conversation. One of the most significant benefits of campus life is the diversity of the student body. Considering that IIT Guwahati is situated in the middle of the wilderness, its beauty is astounding. Any amount of stress can be relieved with a lengthy stroll among gorgeous forests and rolling mountains. With a better student-to-teacher ratio than most older IITs, which are devoid of females, is IIT Guwahati.
