The Common Law Entrance Test or CLAT exam was conducted on December 3, 2024. And the results for the same were declared on December 7, 2024. But on December 20, 2024, upon the plea of a CLAT aspirant it was brought into attention that two of the questions in the entrance test paper were actually wrong and it was further decided that the results for CLAT 2025 would be revised. And therefore, the Delhi High Court, refused to intervene in an order directing the Consortium of National Law Universities to revise the result of CLAT 2025.
Therefore, CLAT 2025 results are all set to be revised following the directive from the Delhi High Court. Inorder to be completely specific, questions fourteen and hundred were highlighted as the problem, further ruled by the court that question fourteen has a mistake in its options and question hundred was invalid altogether.
Following the ruling by the Delhi High Court, the Consortium of NLUs has further announced that they wouldn't be releasing the CLAT 2025 Final Merit List on December 26, 2024. The CLAT Allotment List was also set to be released on December 25, 2024. Consequently the whole process would be postponed now. The revised CLAT counselling dates are not yet released.
After the exam, upon analyzing the entrance question paper, many candidates had pointed out inconsistencies and therefore, a group of students filed a petition in the Delhi High Court, urging the court to intervene and take further action so that there wouldn’t be any injustice towards the candidates. Aditya Singh was the petitioner who challenged the inaccuracy of the questions fourteen and hundred.
The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs), which is commonly referred to as CLAT Consortium, was established on August 19, 2017. This particular body is responsible for enhancing the standards of Legal education in India. The Consortium was initially started with sixteen founding NLUs and has expanded ever since.
The Consortium of National Law University is currently revising the results of C the Common Law Entrance Test (CLAT) 2025, following a directive from the Delhi High Court.
