After completing the Common Law Admission Test or CLAT Examination, candidates are presented with a multitude of opportunities in the field of Law. Candidates will be able to get admission into various National Law Universities (NLUs) based on their rank and CLAT scores.

The CLAT Counselling process is very crucial for admission for candidates to get admissions into NLUs and other participating institutions. Since the CLAT 2024 exam was conducted on December 1, 2024, the registration process for counselling is supposed to start on December 9, 2024. 

 

  1. Candidates are supposed to check whether they are eligible or not to apply, depending on the minimum cut-off marks listed on the CLAT Merit List.
  2. If they are eligible, candidates can proceed with the online registration by logging into the official CLAT website. 
  3. A counselling fee will be taken and the fee will differ according to caste categories.
  4. The counselling will occur over five rounds and candidates will receive seats based on merit and seat allotment. 
  5. Candidates can choose whether to accept their seat or withdraw from the process. 
  6. If the candidate chooses to accept the seat, they can pay the rest of the admission fees and further complete the rest of the admission process.
