Overview
BITSAT Admission to the institute's campuses at Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad can be obtained with the entrance test for Birla Institute of Technology and Science. The competition is huge due to the scarcity of seats. A considerable amount of concept clarity with strategic planning is required to achieve success in BITSAT.
Now with just 60 days to go for BITSAT 2025, it is imperative that every single day is put to effective use. The test requires not only a good understanding of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology but also the ability in English and Logical Reasoning makes it quite different from the other entrance tests. This article offers a 1500-word all-inclusive guide with a 60-day plan, syllabus overview, scoring techniques, and preparation tips tailored for aspirants aiming for top scores.
BITSAT comprises four sections with a total of 130 questions:
Section | Number of Questions | Marks per Question | Total Marks |

Mathematics/Biology | 40 | +3 | 120 |
English Proficiency | 10 | +3 | 30 |
Logical Reasoning | 10 | +3 | 30 |
Total | 130 | 360 |
The BITSAT syllabus is pretty much taken from NCERT textbooks of Classes 11 and 12. Going through the important weightage topics for each subject is as below:

The 60-day plan is structured into three phases:
Strengthening concepts and completing the syllabus is the objective of the first phase. In this phase, one should study each topic intensely and solve topic-wise problems.
Time Slot | Task | Duration |
Morning (7:00–9:00) |
Physics: Revise concepts and solve problems |
2 hours |
Weekly Focus:
The second stage is comprised of full-length tests, accuracy improvement, and speed enhancement.
Activity | Frequency | Duration |
Full-Length Mock Tests |
Every other day |
3 hours |
Focus Areas:
In the final phase, one should pool all preparation and perfect problem-solving skills.
Activity | Duration |
Revisiting Formulas and Concepts |
1–2 hours |
The approach must, therefore, be strategic, aiming to enhance speed, accuracy, and confidence while seated during the exam. These include mastering both the subject matter and strategies of test taking, problem-solving, and mental preparedness.
Understand by concentration instead of memorization. From Physics and Chemistry to Mathematics, make sure you understand basic theories and formulas well, which will allow you to apply knowledge well in the exam.
Practice problems in timed sets to increase your speed. Begin by solving easy questions fast and gradually increase your speed. This exercises your mental agility and makes sure you finish the paper before time runs out.
Accuracy is far more important when using a negative marking scheme than attempting every question. Thus, reduce your mistakes with practice and error analysis regularly, focus on areas through which you lose marks, and build up those topics.
Express Yourself Puzzles, data interpretation, grammar: Practice regularly to build logical reasoning and English fluency. These sections test your ability to think quickly and clearly.
If you are satisfied with the 130 questions and quite sure of answering them correctly, then you can resort to the bonus questions in order to further boost your score. That is, however, only if you are so confident of having sailed through the first set.
BITSAT 2025 is strictly a pen-and-paper, competitive exam that demands a balanced approach of conceptual understanding, persistent practice, and management of time. With exactly 60 days left, the only thing one can do is sit down for a structured study plan, focus only on high-weightage topics, and keep taking mock tests to ascertain his or her progress. The most important factors at this stage would be keeping up a healthy routine, staying motivated, and just perfecting how one can solve problems in as little time as possible. Both English and Logical Reasoning, though mostly ignored, contribute heavily towards the overall score. Don't get distracted; go with confidence while attempting the paper. In these very ways, you will get to a top rank, which means securing a seat in one of the coveted BITS campuses. Good luck with your preparation!
