Eligibility Criteria

B.Sc Nursing:

• Candidates must have completed 10+2 with physics, chemistry, biology and english as core subjects, with a minimum score of 50%
• The candidate must be 17 years of age.

M.Sc Nursing:

• Candidates must have a B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc (Hons) Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing degree from an institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, with a minimum score of 55%
• Candidates must be a registered nurse or a midwife.
• One year of work experience is required either before or after completing the Post Basic Nursing Program.

Entrance Exams for UG Nursing Courses

The key nursing entrance exams for UG Courses in 2025 are as follows:

NEET UG Exam

• Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA)
• Tentative exam date is May 4, 2025
• Candidates who have completed 10+2 with physics, chemistry, biology and english as subjects with 50% aggregate marks, can apply

AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Exam

• Conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)

Nursing Scholarships in India

• Vidyadhan Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students belonging from specific states such as Karnataka, Kerala, etc. The scholarship amount ranges from INR 10,000 - INR 60,000.
• Sasakawa India Leprosy Foundation Scholarship: Thi scholarship is awarded to students who have leprosy themselves or either of their parents must have leprosy. Applicants must be pursuing B.Sc nursing or GNM courses.
• Trained Nurses’ Association of India Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to nursing students who have completed their first three months of preliminary training. The scholarship provides a monthly allowance of INR 750 for the entire duration of course.
• National Merit Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to nursing students who have excelled in their course and extracurricular activities. The students receive a monthly stipend of INR 10,000 per month for the entire duration of course.
