Eligibility:
If a student wishes to pursue BNYS, they must know whether they’re eligible to pursue the course or not. Only if they are eligible, they may proceed to the next steps of the admission process. The eligibility criteria for BNYS are as follows:
- Candidates must complete 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and BIology with 50% of marks. While the aggregate marks is 45% for ST/SC category students.
- Candidates must be at least 17 years of age and they must not be older than 25 years, as of December 31st of the admission year.
- Depending on the institution, the candidates may have to be NEET qualified or some other institutions may conduct their own entrance exams.
Entrance Exams:
Some institutions may conduct their own Entrance Exams, but some others may require scores from NEET exams as well. Some of the entrance exams for qualifying for the BNYS course are as follows:
- NEET: National Eligibility Entrance Test, which is conducted by the NTA. Qualifying this exam is necessary in some institutions in order to get admission into their BNYS course.
- AIAPGET: All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test, although primarily meant for post graduate courses but some institutions may refer to AIAPGET scores for admission into BNYS.
- Some universities may conduct their own entrance exams such as CEEAH (Common Entrance Exam for Ayurveda and Homeopathy) conducted by the Guwahati University.
