Overview
The GATE 2025 EY paper is a test that checks the knowledge of candidates about the basic concepts in ecology and evolutionary biology. Exam Pattern

- Type of Questions: This examination will have three types of questions:
- Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs): In this type, every question has four options with only one correct answer.
- Multiple-Select Questions (MSQs): In such cases, more than one answer can be correct, and the candidate needs to mark all the correct answers.
- Numerical Answer Type Questions: These questions will be attempting numerical problems where the candidate would answer directly in the text box.

- Negative Marking: For MCQ there is involved penalty for the wrong answer. One-third marks will be deducted for every wrong answer in a one-mark question and two-thirds marks will be deducted for a two-mark question. MSQ/NAT will carry no negative marking
