The Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority for admissions into various postgraduate programs, including MBA, MCA, ME, M.Tech, and M.Arch that are available in the respective colleges of Karnataka.

 

The examination for MBA and MCA courses is scheduled to be held on August 4, 2024. The examinations for ME, M.Tech, and M.Arch courses will be conducted on September 18, 2024.

 

Applicants need to register on the KEA website, fill in the application form, which includes the applicant's personal and educational information, upload a photograph and signature as well as pay application fees. Application available from the 27th of May 2024 and will remain open till the 7th of July 2024.

 

This includes a collection of an application fee of ?650 for those who fall in the General and OBC category and ?500 for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.


 

The offline exam is to be conducted for 2 hours and 30 minutes, and it comprises 100 MCQ questions, carrying one mark each. There is no provision for negative marking for the wrong answer. 

 

Bachelor's degree in any relevant field with an aggregate of 50% or more marks. A minimum aggregate of 45% marks for SC/ST candidates. Certain courses require specific subjects in the qualifying examination.

 

Results The results would be posted on the KEA website by logging into it with the valid credentials of the candidate. The result would be available shortly after the exam conduction dates. 

 

The candidates must carry their admit card with one of the valid ID proofs at the time of appearing at the examination center ID/Aadhar card, PAN card, or voter ID.

 

As per the current rules and regulations, no revaluation of answer sheets is allowed in Karnataka PGCET. The objections may, however, be done against the answer key within the stipulated timeframe after its issuance. 

 

If the candidates fail to meet the application deadline, they might not be able to apply for Karnataka PGCET 2024 until the next year unless special provisions are announced by KEA.
