Absolutely! The syllabus for NEET (UG) - 2024 has undergone some changes. Topics that aren't covered in school boards or the latest NCERT books have been removed. The focus is now on core concepts to streamline your preparation.
5. Why the syllabus of NEET (UG) has been revised for the Academic Year 2024-25?
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 scenario, many school boards have shortened their syllabus. However, these deletions were not uniform across boards. In response to numerous requests, the NTA revised the NEET (UG) syllabus to maintain consistency.
6. There are a few topics included in the updated syllabus but those are not given in the new NCERT Books.
These topics have been added because they are being taught in various school boards, including Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Bihar School Education Board, National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education, and many others state education board.
7. How can I register for NEET?
Students can start registration when it is available on the NTA official website. The tentative date for NEET 2024 registration is the 1st week of March 2024.

9. Can I appear for NEET multiple times?

For boys:
- Wear light colour half sleeve shirt
- Try to avoid clothes with big prints, pockets, brooches, or badges.
- They can wear trousers but pajamas or kurtas are not allowed in the exam
- Shoes are not permitted, Only slippers or sandals are allowed;
For girls:
- Full-length sleeves clothes are not allowed, wear only light-colored clothes with half-sleeves
- Avoid wearing clothes with big prints, flowers, buttons, brooches, or badges.
- Do not wear clothes with big pockets; it’s better to avoid jeans on exam day.
- Avoid wearing jewelry as metal items may trigger metal detectors.
- High heels, boots, or thick-sole shoes are not allowed wear only slippers, low-heeled footwear, or sandals.
11. Can I change my exam center after submitting the NEET application form?
No, you can’t after the closure of the NEET registration window, candidates can not modify their choice of exam centre. It is advisable to choose the exam center carefully during the application process.
12. Are there any restrictions on the calculator in the NEET exam?
Yes, NEET aspirants are not allowed to bring any type of calculator or any electronic device including a smartwatch or mobile phone into the examination hall.
13. Is there any reservation for the economically weaker sections (EWS) in NEET?
Yes, The Indian government provides a 10% reservation quota for the EWS section in the NEET entrance exam. To avail of the reservation benefits, candidates must meet the specific criteria and they have to submit the necessary documents including a GEN-EWS certificate during the application process.
