AP NEET PG COUNSELING PROCESS 2024
The Andhra Pradesh NEET PG Counseling Process for 2024 will be conducted by Dr YSR University of Health Sciences (YSRUHS), formerly known as MTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. Participating in the counseling process is important for candidates seeking seats in MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses in India.
AP NEET PG 2024 Application Process
To participate in the AP NEET PG Counseling process for the year 2024, one must follow the provided steps:
- Candidates must register themselves on the official website of YRSUS.
- Candidates must fill out the firm for AP PG Medical Counseling 2024.
- Candidates will need to pay a non-refundable registration fee to complete the application process.
- Candidates who have completed their undergraduate courses from outside the state of Andhra Pradesh will have to pay an additional verification fee during the registration process.
- For candidates who have passed their undergraduate courses from outside India, the verification fee is INR 7000.
- Filling Application form:
- Candidates nust fill their application form by entering their name, personal details, PG Roll number, and other required details.
- They will need to upload scanned copies of documents, signature and passport sized photographs.
- Candidates must fill out the application form with precision so that no error is made.
- After submitting the application form, candidates will receive their AP NEET PG application number and password. Candidates must keep their application number and password safe for future use.
The application process for NEET PG Counseling 2024 had begun from April 16, 2024. Candidates were able to submit their application forms until May 6, 2024.
AP NEET PG 2024 Counseling: Application Fee
Application fee for AP NEET PG Counseling varies according to the caste/category. The details are provided in the table below:

Documents Required for AP NEET PG Counseling 2024:
Given below is a list of documents required of the application process of Andhra Pradesh PG Counseling:
- MBBS certificate
- Internship completion certificate
- NEET PG Scorecard
- Aadhar card or any other valid ID proof
- Recent Passport sized photographs
- Candidate’s signature
- Provisional/Permanent Medical Registration certificate
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Minority Certificate (if applicable)
- Residence/Domicile certificate if candidate has cleared MBBS from an Institution outside Telangana.
Candidates are required to submit their original documents during verification at the time of reporting. If a candidate has submitted their original documents to any other institute, they must provide a certificate stating the same. The caste certificate must be in English or Hindi language and the sub-cast must be clearly mentioned in the certificate.
AP NEET PG Edit Window:
The YSR University of Health Sciences, conducted the edit window for AP NEET PG 2024 Application form from June 7 to June 10, 2024. Through this edit window, candidates were allowed to correct their details in the previously submitted application form. Candidates could make the following corrections:
- Date of Birth
- Academic Details
- Religion
- Category
- Gender
- PwD Status
- EWS Status
Candidates were also allowed to rectify any issues relating to the document images uploaded during the initial application form submission. However, there were certain fields or details that could not be edited. The following fields were noon- editable through the edit window:
- Candidate's Name
- Email ID
- Mobile Number
- Nationality
- Exam Centre
After the edit window closes on June 10, 2024, the AP NEET PG Admit Cards were released on June 18, 2024. The exam was further conducted on June 23, 2024.
AP NEET PG: Online Verification of Documents:
Candidates must complete an online verification of documents for participating in the AP NEET PG Counseling Process 2024. The following documents are required for online verification:
- NEET PG Admit Card: A printout of the admit card.
- NEET PG Score Card: A PDF copy of the scorecard.
- MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate: Either the original or provisional certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the respective State Medical Council.
- Internship Completion Certificate: Proof of completion of the compulsory rotatory internship.
- Medical Registration Certificate: Provisional or permanent registration certificate from the respective State Medical Council.
- Photo ID Proof: A valid government-issued photo ID such as Aadhaar card or PAN card.
- Andhra Pradesh Domicile Certificate: Proof of residency in Andhra Pradesh.
- Passport-size Photograph: A recent passport-sized photo in the specified format.
- Signature: A scanned signature of the candidate.
Candidates must have both original and photocopies of the required documents during the verification process at the allotted institute.
AP NEET PG 2024 Option Entry:
The option entry process for AP NEET PG Counseling process allows candidates to choose their courses and colleges during the counseling phase. The detailed procedure is given below:
- Candidates must visit the official counseling portal for AP NEET PG 2024.
- Candidates must enter their PG rank, Roll number, and registration number to login.
- After logging in, candidates will see a list of available colleges and courses.
- Candidates can select their preferred colleges by clicking on the ‘Add’ button next to the colleges names.
- After finalizing their preferences, candidates must click the ’Save’ button. An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number.
- The preferences must be locked before the deadline. All the choices will be automatically locked after the deadline for option entry.
AP NEET PG 2024 Seat Allotment:
The seat allotment for AP NEET PG Counseling is expected to be released by September 20, 2024. Seats will be allocated based on the candidates NEET SCores and their preferences they filled during the choice/option entry process. Candidates who are allocated seats must report to their respective institution to confirm their admission, within the specified time period. Some key details regarding the seat allotment process are as follows:
- The Seat Allotment list will be published by YSRUHS on its official website, after the completion of the choice filling process. Candidates will need to download the provisional allotment order, which will be required in the upcoming steps to complete the admission process.
- The Allotment will be conducted in four rounds- Round 1, Round 2 and a mop-up and stray-vacancy round if seats remain vacant.
- Selected candidates must carry the provisional allotment order for verification process at designated centers.
Reporting to the Institute:
After the seat allotment process in Andhra Pradesh NEET PG Counseling 2024, candidates must report to the allotted institutes. Candidates must report to their allotted institute within the specified time frame. And if candidates wish to decline their allotted seat, they must formally decline the seat in the reporting process. They must carry the following documents for verification when reporting to the allotted college:
- Provisional Allotment Order
- NEET PG 2024 Scorecard
- MBBS Degree Certificate
- Internship Completion Certificate
- Medical Registration Certificate
- Aadhar Card or valid photo ID
- Recent passport-sized photographs
- Any additional documents specified by the college or YSRUHS.
