MAHARASHTRA NEET UG COUNSELLING 2024
The Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling is the procedure through which seats are allocated to students into medical institutions in the state of Maharashtra. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra is conducting the counselling session for 2024. The counselling process is facilitated to provide assistance to students seeking admissions into various medical and paramedical courses, for the year 2024-2025. The online registration process had started from 17th August, 2024 through the official website and the process was closed on 24th August, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. The NEET Counselling 2024 for Maharashtra will offer MBBS, BDS. To participate in the counselling process, applicants must qualify for NEET 2024.
MAHARASHTRA NEET UG COUNSELLING 2024 OVERVIEW:
In order to gain admission into undergraduate level medical and dental courses, candidates are required to participate in state level counselling. The total number of MBBS seats available are 9000, while 3,526 seats are available for BDS courses, in the state of Maharashtra. Students will be granted admission based on their NEET scorecard. The counselling process will involve various steps, which will be further discussed in the article. The seat allotment will be solely based on factors such as seat intake capacity, reservation criteria and choices made by the students.

MAHARASHTRA NEET 2024 COUNSELLING ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Before the registration process, applicants must ensure whether they meet the following specifications or not:
- Candidates are required to qualify for NEET 2024.
- The candidate must possess Indian Citizenship.
- The candidate must provide a valid certificate to prove that he/she is from the state of Maharashtra.
- Candidates who have qualified 10th grade from outside the state of Maharashtra but passed 12th grade from the state of Maharashtra, must provide a domicile certificate.
- Candidates must pass the 10+2 level exam.
MAHARASHTRA NEET COUNSELLING 2024 REGISTRATION PROCESS:
- STEP 1: Online registration
- Applicants must visit the official website for Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2024. After clicking on the registration link, candidates must fill in their details including their name, gender, date of birth, caste category, disability status, educational background, email ID, address. After filling in the details, candidates must review their details for accuracy and then, submit the form.
Applicants will be asked to upload the following documents:
- Recent colour photograph with a white background (20kb-50kb).
- Signature of the candidate on white paper (10kb-20kb).
- Other necessary documents such as caste certificate, domicile certificate, educational certificates into a single PDF, of size less than 500kb.
- STEP 3: Preview uploaded images
After uploading, candidates must ensure that their images are shown clearly and are in the appropriate places. In case of any errors, applicants can re-upload them following the same procedure.
- STEP 4: Declaration and Final Submission
Applicants must review their filled information thoroughly, and if all details are correct, they can proceed to click on the ‘Declaration’ Checkbox. Click on the final submit button. After submission, an application/registration number will be generated. Applicants will receive their application/registration number via email or SMS.
- STEP 5: Application Fee Payment
Payment can be made through internet banking, Debit card, or credit card. After the payment is done, download the payment receipt for future use.

Currently, a total of 61 Medical Colleges in Maharashtra offer MBBS degree Courses in full-time mode. Out of which, 11 Colleges are private, 10 colleges are governmental and the rest are public-private. Admissions into these institutions will be solely based on their NEET scorecard.

Candidates whose names are mentioned in the Maharashtra NEET UG 2024 Counselling merit list are thereby eligible to seek admission into MBBS and BDS courses, into various renowned colleges and institutions. Candidates must review their details such as full names, roll numbers, date of birth, qualifying status, NEET UG 2024 score, with precision.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD MAHARASHTRA NEET UG 2024 RANK LIST?
In order to download the allotment list of AP MBBS and BDS, applicants must follow the following steps:
- Whenever the download link is available, candidates must click on the link to access the Maharashtra MBBS and BDS Merit list.
- The follow up screen will show the merit list for 2024. Applicants may open the search search function by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F. Then, they must enter their name and roll number to find their entry.
- Candidates must review their details to make sure that their details are accurate. The names of students that appear on the merit list will be eligible for MBBS and BDS counselling.
