XAT stands for Xavier Aptitude Test. It is a national-level management entrance exam conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur for admission to the course of MBA/ PGDM. XLRI has been conducting the exam on behalf of XAMI for more than 70 years. This is one of the most sought-after exams by MBA aspirants since the XAT score is accepted in over 700 colleges across the country, including XLRI, 95 XAT Associates, and the 12 XAMI member institutes.
Graduation: The candidate should have a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university.
Minimum Marks: No minimum aggregate marks criteria in graduation to apply for the exam.
Age: There is no upper age limit criterion to appear for XAT.
Final Year Students: Students in their final year can also apply for the test, provided they complete their graduation by June 2025.
Attempts allowed: There is no limit for attempts on this exam.
The selection process of XAT for XLRI includes shortlisting of candidates on the basis of XAT or GMAT score, PI, and GD. However, the final selection will include entrance score, personal interview, group discussion, academic score, work experience, and academic and gender diversity. Meeting the cut off is the minimum requirement for eligibility to XLRI MBA admission.
