Karnataka PGCET Exam Pattern 2024

It's time for the exam. I know this is not a nice alert! Many of you guys are really wondering what contents post-graduation 2024 papers display in the examination. Let us give a brief glance to the pattern of the PGCET exam which was conducted on August 04 2024 as declared by the Karnataka Examination Authority(KEA) on its official website https:// kea.kar.nic.in.

Karnataka PGCET 2024 Exam Pattern

So friends, our exam is conducted in offline mode from the exam centers allocated to the students. The exam paper consists of Multiple choice questions(MCQ) based on the prescribed syllabus with four different answers. Each question carries 1 and 2 marks luckily there is no negative marking for a wrong answer which is a relief. So, it is a 100 marks paper which indicates that there will be 100 questions waiting to be decoded. The time duration is 150 minutes for each course which is slightly generous. The paper will be in English medium of instruction. 

Karnataka PGCET 2024 test structure

The PGCET paper for MBA, MCA, M.Tech/M.E, M.Arch courses has two sections. The sections are named part A and part B. Each of these sections will have topics such as Mathematics, English language, computer awareness, Logical reasoning, Quantitative analysis,General knowledge,Test of reasoning and General Intelligence. Each of these topics are assigned based on the course. Each course has its own pattern and marks are assigned accordingly.  

KarnatakaPGCET 2024 MBA Paper Pattern

For MBA aspirants the exam will be held in one session. There will be four versions of the Question paper. The time duration alloted is 150 minutes. It is a 100 marks exam.  As per MBA course is concerned it has four sections namely section A, B, C, D. Each section has topics which are specified below

Section A -

  1. Proficiency in English language

Section B

2.General Knowledge

Section C

3. Test of Reasoning and Intelligence

Section D

4. Quantitative Analysis

The exam duration is 150 marks.

Total marks allotted is 100.

Each question carries one mark.

No negative marking for unanswered questions or wrong attempts.

Karnataka PGCET 2024 sectional Weightage

We have known about the sections of the course each of it has a particular number of questions and marks allotted.

The total mark is 100.

Note that MBA aspirants do not attend computer awareness section so the marks allotment may vary.
